I finally started painting my office, completing the stripes on this wall first as I was mad eager to get this picture collage up and running! Once I began painting and framing (I spray-painted every frame) it occurred to me that I had a movie theme happening here.

Nautical Notion
Friday night's impulse came. out. amazing.
I've had this idea in my noggin for awhile, (sorry there Pinterest, I own this one!) when we bought our house I noticed the coordinates in our paperwork a few times and thought it would be kinda cool to somehow incorporate them into our new home.

Vintage Ventana
After searching for months, I scored huge last week when I found a woman about forty minutes away with a countless supply of antique windows.
Vivacious Veggies
Recently I picked up a basil plant to smell while at Lowe's, little did I know that my two second sniff would spontaneously release my inner Martha.

Framed Fairy Tale
Yesterday I took full advantage of the fact that I had the entire afternoon to myself, so my mission was to finish my Cinderella project I'd started last month. I'm so glad I held onto this, you can barely recognize the original pictured below! Initially I was going to use this frame with another picture, but after the spray painting was complete, it only made sense to put them back together. #bippityboppityboo

DIY Determined #14
Oh. My. Goodnessss. This project was so flippin easy that I'm already pondering my phrase for a larger one! I've had the below painting of the sunflowers forever, I was about to give it away when I randomly found some inspiration that made me hold onto it for dear life. The original project used song lyrics, but I opted for a line from Cinderella, which was my favorite childhood movie. All you need is an old painting, some nylon letters and spray paint. It's very hard to mess this up, now go, you don't need to be crafty at all to do this.
This is what made me save that painting,
it's so simple yet has SO much impact.

Rejuvenated Rubbish
My pooch and I were strolling the neighborhood a few weeks back when I spotted this in someone's trash, instantly pondering a project. While waiting for the weather to improve, I thought of so many other great ideas for this trashed piece of crib and now I'm pissed I left the other side on the curb! I went with my initial magazine rack idea and I'm totally in love. It'll be super handy in the salon and now the coffee table can finally breathe.

Christmukkah Collision
It made me SO happy that Chanukkah fell on Christmas this year, I loved seeing all the decorations mixed in together!
This time of year is my husbands fav, he gets so giddy and is literally still singing Christmas Carols. That being said, when I packed up every last piece of holiday decor yesterday, he was a little depressed when he got home from work. I thought I'd post some pics from our big soiree, he can now deck the halls anytime he wants. 3.
I searched for weeks to find the perfect table centerpiece, you can always count on the home section (normally upstairs) at Kohls, this turned out to be 50% off. It was originally $29.99, so with my coupon and credit card discount, it was under $10, such a score!
Is that a beer bottle or is Swan flipping Sally the bird?!? I'm so darn proud of my table setup.
Sally's favorite ornament:)
My favorite candle holders, thanks Ma! Recognize the surface they're sitting on?
I told you I'd be trying this, it totally jazzed up our backyard. I actually left the kitchen blinds open some nights just to see them!
Yummmmm. I spy a Brinley Gold Rum Cake!!
And our Charlie Brown Poinsettia, LOL
Our twelve person feast was deeeeericious.
The FAKE fireplace...
And the REAL fireplace!
Time to put it all away, now where do I begin?
Some self-timer action, I barely made it in!
Best. Christmukkah. Yet.

Mirror, Mirror
I totally misplaced the memory stick to my camera, hence the lack of recent posts. I recovered it yesterday from the pocket of some sweats I was about to toss in the wash! In light of my discovery, I thought I'd finally share this simple project I did a few weeks back.
Mom gave me this mirror a few years ago, I've inherited lots of great items from her neighbors that are getting rid of stuff. I've used it AS-IS since I got it, but when I found the perfect spot for it at the bottom of our stairs, I knew it was in need of a change.
Before the fun began, I had to protect the mirror from any mishaps. I thought this part would be difficult, but once I started messing around with the paper, I found you could literally slide it behind the frame, no tape needed at all!
Now, bring on the spray paint! I used a glossy black, I love how it turned out and it looks perfect against the greige walls in our foyer.

Crafty Credenza
I bought this credenza/buffet at Goodwill for $65. It absolutely needed a little of my TLC and without fail has turned out to be the topic of conversations while walking by with visitors. I think it turned out a smidge too purple, however everyone else has convinced me the color is a keeper for now. I've since painted the walls a pukey green khaki color, which looks amazing against the credenza. With the addition of my new orange Buddha on top, I've covered all secondary colors in my dining room.
Curtsy.

Mezuzah Modification
Before we moved in, we noticed mezuzahs embellishing all the doors of our house, this made me so happy. I immediately made note of the rusty one on the back door, drooling at the thought of a simple and fun project. Mom told me you're really not supposed to take a mezuzah down after it's been hung, however this one desperately needed a facelift.

Table Turning
So this table has been welcoming us in our foyer since we've moved in, it fits ever so perfectly in our entryway and has turned out to be a central spot to keep our keys and such. As practical as it is, let's be real: the paint color needed to hit the road. I posted a few foyer pics last Friday that really inspired me and instantly got my creative juices gushing. Two cans of spray paint later, here's my latest before-n-after!

Bekvam Bring Around
I saw the below picture via pinterest not too long ago and couldn't wait to hop on this project. Meet Bekvam, our kitchen cart from ikea. I bought it three years ago to free up some counter space and store our microwave. We finally got our new one installed over our stove this weekend, so now that the cart serves no purpose, it was time for a little revamp. It came out fab and now completely matches our new kitchen!

Weekend Wrap-Up
With Halloween now behind us we can finally focus on Turkey day plans and the fact that Christmas is only 55 days away. WTF. Here's a little glimpse of what Sally accomplished over the crazy weekend!
Time to start pondering up ideas for our main floor half bath! I found these monogrammed towels not long ago and definitely hope to incorporate them into the decor.
I finally found the right size peacock feathers for the master bathroom at Michael's!
My favorite little window in our new house was perfect to watch the October snow come down.
We lit our very first fire in our first ever fireplace, it was oh so cozy.
I'm still having a hard time digesting the freakish snowfall we had on Saturday!
Pumpkins and snow aren't supposed to go together!
Some GC treats for me...
And some treats for my husbands students.
Tomorrow I'm revealing our amazing kitchen progress,
it's not even finished yet and I'm already SO in love.
